 In March of 1977, Clarence Hight opened Action Alarm Service with the desire of becoming a premiere residential security specialist, offering Burglar and Fire Alarm Systems. Eventually, expanding to small commercial jobs and to broadening the scope of services offered, and with limited funding Action Alarm Service continued to grow and eventually had ten employees. With the onset of major corporations wanting to dominate in the residential marketplace, around 1988, Action Alarm Service expanded their services to include video surveillance systems.
With the demand for quality video surveillance system installations, came the request for Access Control systems integration, which in turn required the integration of the Fire Alarm Systems. This within itself required additional learning and the expansion of training for the employees. The demand for quality installations and servicing to this High Technology started growing at a rapid rate in the 1990’s.
Thus in 1996 Action Alarm Service change its name to Action Security Systems, Inc., this allowed us to expand our horizons into all facets of security systems. Since 1996 we have installed camera systems in convenient stores, shopping centers, office buildings, manufacturing plants, and even in several locations for the city of Brentwood, TN. We have provided Access Control systems for manufacturing plants, office buildings and several government buildings, i.e. Federal Courthouse, G.S. Gass Building, and The L.C. Tower to mention a few. Our Fire Alarm Systems are protecting a multitude of office buildings, manufacturing plants, and homes across middle Tennessee.
Today we are still a locally owned/operated company providing security systems and services to Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. Our objective is still to offer high quality security systems within a competitive price range. When you desire to have the right system the first time, then you need to have a competent company to design/install/service your system. We feel that we are that company. |
